Designing Aipan is a famous tradition in uttarakhand. During festivals like diwali,holi,pujas,greh prevesh people decorate their floors with aipans.
Aipan is basically a design made using white colour over a red coloured base.It quites resembles with rangoli but difference is aipan uses only white and red colour but rangoli is a blend of different colours.
